Who We Are
We are a Leather House in the Pacific Northwest, created to be a place of refuge and growth for our members. It was created by and for individuals who proudly live their Leather but don’t always feel welcome in Leather spaces.
Values
- We believe in holding space for the evolution of individuals and communities.
- We encourage each person to keep an open heart to their inner work.
- We prioritize the necessity of rest.
WHAT THAT MEANS
- Hold space for evolution: We all come to Leather through different paths and stories. We have our definitions and ways of fitting into these spaces. We believe everyone needs space to confirm that we belong in Leather and are allowed to evolve our own unique expressions of Leather, as people and as communities.
- Open our hearts to inner work: If we are to grow and evolve, we must be willing to engage with ourselves and our own growth. We prioritize bringing humility and vulnerability to our space in order to embrace what we need to grow.
- The necessity of rest: Sometimes the way forward is taking a step back. Space outside the hurley-burly of expectations and partying is essential for us. Retreating, pressing pause, and taking time to heal and learn are vital parts of our respective journeys as Leatherfolk.
